To whom it may concern:

My wife is the owner of Prudential Texas Realty and we have been in the residential real estate business in Austin for 30 years. Our home at 3503 Winding Creek Dr. in the Estates of Barton Creek had experienced extensive water leaks. Twice we hired contractors to fix the cause of the leaks and repair the damage. Despite the huge cost we were charged for the repairs neither of the previous contractors was successful at fixing the leaks and neither contractor would warrant their work despite assurances that they warranted all their work.

What can I say about Ideal Custom Homes and Archie Cheatham? Well, I can honestly say that the experience was nothing short of ideal. Throughout the entire process I felt that Archie was there for anything I needed. I witnessed him daily working intensely, diligently, and with me in mind. This surprised me because you rarely find people who will put themselves to a task as if they were doing it for their self.

Dear Archie,

We have been in our house for two years, and we love it. In the twenty-one years Ed and I have been together, we have lived in ten houses, (two of them built from scratch - the others total gut jobs). Our attention span has generally been two years per house – once it's perfect and beautiful it's time to move on to the next project. Things have changed.

Ed and I both come from a design background. I am a perfectionist. I make myself, and those around me, nuts, but the results are beautiful houses, often published. When we moved back to Texas, we had trained the best of the best, as contractors go. We came here knowing no one. We had no sources. We leased a house in Travis Heights for six months. And started looking to buy.

We are very pleased to have purchased a home built by Archie Cheatham. He takes a great deal of pride in his work and has always gone above and beyond to assist us with keeping our home in top shape. It seems highly doubtful that a larger builder would have worked as closely with us as Archie has done. We highly recommended him and are grateful for his help.

You have always been most helpful and responsive and stood by your product and its quality. More than 2 years after we purchased the home you still took the time and effort to work with us as if we had just moved in.

Main Street Homes hired Mr. Cheatham as a Production Manager in May, 1994. The company required direction in the field regarding the construction production and without reservation, Mr. Cheatham fulfilled this requirement far above my expectations.
